Montreal Medical International Inc. (MMI) becomes a shareholder in the WUM Investment Sp. z o.o. company

On August 30, 2018, the Medical University of Warsaw (WUM) and Montreal Medical International Inc. (MMI) signed an agreement which made MMI a shareholder in the WUM Investment Sp. z o.o. company. The signatories were the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw Prof. Mirosław Wielgoś and President and CEO of MMI Dr. Michael Churchill-Smith.

During the signing ceremony Rector Wielgoś emphasized how important it is for the University to partner with such a prestigious company as MMI: "As shareholders, MMI will provide WUM Investment Sp. z o.o. with a strong basis for the development of our University’s Medical Simulation Center. MMI is a strategic associate with the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University, one of Canada’s best universities and a leader in healthcare education in the world.”

In his concluding remarks, Dr Churchill-Smith underlined that it is WUM’s and MMI’s shared vision of modern medicine that guarantees the success of this partnership.

Those in attendance included President for MMI Europe Dr. Maciej Baranowski, President of WUM Investment Sp. z o.o Grzegorz Pawlus, Vice President of WUM Investment Sp. z o.o. Robert Babczak, WUM Chancellor Małgorzata Rejnik and WUM Director of the Legal Office Jacek Sobczak.
